Company founder and Director of Engineering Adolph Friederich Thal is known as “Fred”. As a specialist in analog magnetic audio recording technology, he has worked for Inovonics, National Public Radio, Otari, Studer and the University of California. Fred is a recognized authority on the mechatronic design of the Studer A80 and A820 tape transport mechanisms and uses that knowledge to build ATAE’s state-of-the-art reproducers.
