Based on acclaimed Studer A80 and A820 tape transport mechanisms that we exactingly re-manufacture in our facility, ATAE reproducers are engineered to ensure that tapes are subjected to the least possible mechanical stress and wear. (See our Technology page)

Founder and Director of Engineering Adolph Friederich (Fred) Thal is a recognized expert on Studer A80 and A820 tape machines. He has worked for National Public Radio, the University of California, Inovonics, Otari and Studer.
